基于可穿戴健康設(shè)備的勸導(dǎo)式設(shè)計(jì)與評(píng)價(jià)

摘要: 為了探討勸導(dǎo)技術(shù)在可穿戴健康系統(tǒng)中的設(shè)計(jì)、實(shí)現(xiàn)和評(píng)價(jià),研究了與運(yùn)動(dòng)激勵(lì)相關(guān)的勸導(dǎo)設(shè)計(jì),提煉了6條面向運(yùn)動(dòng)的勸導(dǎo)原則:目標(biāo)設(shè)定、自我監(jiān)控、社交影響、正面強(qiáng)化、提醒和建議以及娛樂(lè)交互,并據(jù)此設(shè)計(jì)和開(kāi)發(fā)了一種用于可穿戴設(shè)備的運(yùn)動(dòng)輔助系統(tǒng)。為了評(píng)估勸導(dǎo)設(shè)計(jì)的有效性,招募了25名受試者進(jìn)行為期一周的實(shí)地實(shí)驗(yàn),并對(duì)實(shí)驗(yàn)數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行統(tǒng)計(jì)分析。結(jié)果表明,勸導(dǎo)原則在提升受試者對(duì)穿戴系統(tǒng)的接受度方面有積極影響。其中,目標(biāo)設(shè)定、社交影響和正面強(qiáng)化對(duì)運(yùn)動(dòng)激勵(lì)有顯著貢獻(xiàn)。結(jié)合量身定制的勸導(dǎo)原則,可穿戴系統(tǒng)具有促進(jìn)用戶(hù)運(yùn)動(dòng)的潛力。

Persuasive design and evaluation based on wearable health devices

Abstract: In order to investigate the design, implementation and evaluation of persuasive technology for wearable health systems, we identified six persuasive principles based on study of exercise encouragement technologies. They′re goal setting, selfmonitoring, social influence, positive reinforcement, reminder and recommendation, and enjoyment interaction. An exercise wearable system was developed to implement persuasive principles. To evaluate the effectiveness of the persuasive principles, a 1week field experiment with 25 subjects was conducted and resulting data was analyzed. The results showed all persuasive principles were found to positively influence user acceptance of the wearable exercise system. Specifically, goal setting, social influence and positive reinforcement, significantly contributed to exercise motivation. Wearable systems have the potential to promote exercise with the help of customized persuasive principles.

引言

技術(shù)在帶來(lái)進(jìn)步的同時(shí)亦存在隱患,如乘車(chē)去工作或購(gòu)物、長(zhǎng)時(shí)間看電視或使用電腦、通過(guò)“短信”的方式交流等,這就使得許多中低強(qiáng)度的活動(dòng)從日常生活中消失,人們的生活作息趨于靜態(tài)。根據(jù)世界衛(wèi)生組織(World Health Organization, WHO)的數(shù)據(jù),超過(guò)80%的青少年和27%的成年人體育活動(dòng)不足,這是當(dāng)今最嚴(yán)重的公共衛(wèi)生問(wèn)題之一[1]。越來(lái)越多的證據(jù)表明,靜態(tài)生活方式不僅是現(xiàn)今諸多健康問(wèn)題(如肥胖、心血管疾病、癌癥、糖尿病等)的主要潛在誘因之一[2],還會(huì)加劇抑郁、焦慮等[3]精神健康問(wèn)題的癥狀。缺乏鍛煉正日益威脅到人們的平均壽命,加強(qiáng)日常運(yùn)動(dòng)、減少靜態(tài)生活迫在眉睫。

對(duì)于大多數(shù)人來(lái)說(shuō),堅(jiān)持運(yùn)動(dòng)初衷不容易。因此,一直有研究關(guān)注鼓勵(lì)與維持動(dòng)態(tài)生活方式的技術(shù)。計(jì)算機(jī)勸導(dǎo)技術(shù)(Persuasive Technology)是通過(guò)設(shè)計(jì)、研究和分析交互性計(jì)算機(jī)產(chǎn)品,以達(dá)到改變?nèi)藗儜B(tài)度或行為為目的的一類(lèi)技術(shù)[4],有望充當(dāng)這樣的角色[5]。

大多數(shù)的勸導(dǎo)框架和通用原則提供了一種理解勸導(dǎo)技術(shù)的有效途徑,但對(duì)于設(shè)計(jì)勸導(dǎo)系統(tǒng)過(guò)于抽象,沒(méi)有詳述如何將這些原則變更為軟件需求以及如何實(shí)現(xiàn)這些原則[6]。因此本文探討了面向運(yùn)動(dòng)激勵(lì)的勸導(dǎo)原則,針對(duì)這些原則制定了具體實(shí)施方案,并在可穿戴系統(tǒng)中予以實(shí)現(xiàn)。此外,為了快速且低成本地檢驗(yàn)勸導(dǎo)原則的有效性,組織了為期1周的用戶(hù)研究,通過(guò)調(diào)查問(wèn)卷、用戶(hù)日志等方法進(jìn)行用戶(hù)體驗(yàn)研究。
